High Street Restoration Project (Phase I)

The Village of Aberdeen was awarded $49,400 by the Brown County Commissioners through the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant on June 4, 2008 for its High Street Restoration Project. This grant will be used to help properly restore High Street in the first of two phases. The Aberdeen Village Council, Mayor and residents would like to thank the Brown County Commissioners (Perry Ogden, Margery Paeltz & Dale Reynolds) as well as the State of Ohio for their support and consideration on this project.

Green Space Renovation Project

The Village of Aberdeen was awarded $30,000 by the Ohio State Congress in May of 2008 for its Green Space Renovation Project. This grant will be used to help renovate the entire Green Space area, community park and boating facilities which includes furnishing a new boat dock. The Aberdeen Village Council, Mayor and residents would like to thank the Brown County Commissioners (Perry Ogden, Margery Paeltz & Dale Reynolds) as well as our local members of congress (Representative Danny Bupp R-88 District and Senator Tom Niehaus R-14 District) for their support and consideration on this project.

Police First Project

The Village of Aberdeen was awarded $2,500 by the Oak Hill Financial Charitable Foundation on Nov. 1, 2007 for its Police First Project. This grant will be used to furnish all Aberdeen police officers with a properly fitted bulletproof vest. The Aberdeen Village Council, Mayor and residents would like to thank the Oak Hill Financial Charitable Foundation for its consideration on this project.
